About Carolyn DeLorenzo

I work with senior leaders who are navigating some of the most pivotal moments of their careers, whether stepping into bigger roles, taking on expanded scope, or figuring out how to lead at a level that requires something genuinely new of them.

I built Indigo North Leadership because I believe every serious leader deserves a trusted guide and a safe space to do that work.

My approach is holistic and deeply personal.

I help clients slow down long enough to reflect, connect the dots between who they are and where they’re headed, and build a clear path forward. I believe that great leadership is shaped by far more than professional experience alone. Our values, relationships, life experiences, and sense of self all play a role in how we show up as leaders. I bring all of that into the coaching conversation. I also bring 15+ years of organizational experience across Fortune 200, nonprofit, higher education, and professional services environments, so when we talk about the pressures, politics, and complexity of your role, I understand the terrain.

I’ve also been intentional about my own growth as a leader and coach.

I believe that showing up fully for my clients starts with taking care of myself by creating space for reflection, spending time in nature, nurturing the relationships that matter, and engaging with the arts to replenish my energy and stay present. That commitment to my own development isn’t separate from my coaching practice. It’s at the heart of it.

Leadership Coaching Qualifications

I hold a Leadership Coaching Certification from the University of Buffalo, an MBA from William & Mary, and certifications in both Hogan and Facet5 assessments. But what I bring most is genuine curiosity about your world and a belief that you are more capable of growth than you may realize in this moment.

Beyond the Work

Outside of work, you’ll find me on a trail with my dog Frankie, at a pottery studio, or exploring new art galleries, restaurants, and museums around the DC area.

Coaching Engagements

Whether you’re navigating a major transition or looking to grow into the next version of yourself as a leader, coaching engagements are tailored to where you are and what you need. Together we build a clear picture of your strengths, blind spots, and the patterns shaping how you lead. We define what success looks like, identify the shifts that will make the difference, and work through them in real time. You’ll leave with more than new skills — you’ll leave with the self-awareness and tools to keep growing long after our work together is done. Engagements are available in short- and longer-term formats depending on your goals.

Assessment Debriefs

Sometimes the most powerful thing a leader can do is stop and see themselves clearly. Assessment debriefs including personality assessments and 360-degree feedback provide an honest, structured picture of how you lead and how others experience you. We work through the findings together, making sense of the data in the context of your specific role and goals, and translating insights into meaningful next steps. The real value is in what becomes possible when you truly see yourself clearly.

Jumpstart Development Planning

Not every leader needs a long-term engagement. Sometimes you need focused time and space to get clear on where you’re headed and how to get there. A Jumpstart session is a concentrated, high-impact experience designed to help you cut through the noise, identify your priorities, and walk away with a concrete development plan you can act on immediately.
